SCHEDULE: Our 6-week Winter I session is starting the first week of January, 2009 and will include two Tykes Itsy Bitsy Yoga classes (new)! The cost is $90 (plus 9% tax*) per child for each 6-week session, plus a one-time $20 registration / material fee (collected on the first day of class). In return, you will receive one of Helen Garabedian's books (depending on your child's age) to help you continue to practice with your child at home. Space is limited, so SIGN UP TODAY! Download a Blossoming Yogis Questionnaire & Release Form * For years, the State of Washington Department of Revenue has classfied Yoga classes as Education and not physical fitness. As such, yoga studios have not had to charge sales tax for yoga classes (educational classes are not taxable, while fitness classes are). Unfortunately, the Department of Revenue is now considering yoga classes to be physical fitness and are asking yoga studios to collect sales tax for their classes effective immediately. This change also effects Itsy Bitsy Yoga classes. So, as of January, 2009, there will be a 9% sales tax collected on all IBY Sessions at Yoga Studio Be. This adds $8.10 to the cost of each session bringing it to $98.10. Sales tax will not be charged on the $20 registration fee.
